2nd Shift Supervisor / CNC Operator
Job description
We are looking for a new Supervisor on 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm, M-F) of CNC Operation Team at Record USA/ASSA ABLOY, Monroe, NC USA.
This position has a training period as as temp employment (via temp agency) and we will get you on-board as direct hire after 90 days evaluation with the offer including:

Position Description
The 2nd Shift Supervisor / CNC Operator oversees the day-to day production activities associated with the manufacturer of automatic pedestrian doors. While this position is responsible for supporting the work of others, it also requires coaching, resolving issues and serving as a link between subordinates and upper management at the facility. Additional the Supervisor will guide and train employees in business processes, practices, policies and procedures. It requires being well-versed in processes under the role’s responsibility and will be results-driven and focused with the goal of ensuring that operations are carried out productively to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Align with the Plant Manager to lead the safety of all plant operations, human resources and equipment. Commit and support all safety procedures and policies.
- Set goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates.
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
- Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
- Receive complaints and resolve problems.
- Maintain timekeeping records.
- Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa.
- Prepare and submit performance reports.
- Oversee the employment experience of subordinates.
- Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position requires the following essential knowledge, skills and abilities in order to satisfactorily fulfill the Production Supervisor role:
- High school diploma or equivalent or 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions, processes and documentation.
- Technical understanding with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent oral, interpersonal, communication skills; team oriented. Must be able to take complex, technical information and translate it into every day, understandable language
- Use analytical thinking to introduce new innovations to production processes
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to explain technical procedures/information
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve content and processes
- Highly motivated, dependable and energetic self-starter who takes ownership and can drive change through innovation
- Able to work effectively under pressure and in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines
- Analytic and investigative mindset dedicated to continuously improving processes
- Extremely organized and attentive to detail; Ability to objectively review, understand and organize data; ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Focused attention to detail, analytical & inquisitive with high standards for quality and accuracy; Ability to drive projects and their initiatives to completion
- Intermediate literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
Physical Demands
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is primarily moderate to loud.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.75 - $19.25 per hour
