Job description
Join our exciting Admissions team and be a part of a mission centered medical detox group of clinics in a variety of cities. You will be an integral part of the admissions and placement of patients. This position is remote and works collaboratively with the Director of Admissions, other admissions team members, as well as the clinic staff. You will be able to use your excellent organizational skills, as well as your strategic thinking skills. You will preferably have some master's level work in substance abuse, behavioral health, or counseling. Our employees are valued members of the Gallus team!
Job Description - Evenings/Weekends, FT
Duties
- Professionally and memorably represent the GMDC Brand and Mission
- Coordinate patients' admission, discharges, transportation, financial transactions (verification of benefits, financing if needed, collection of deposit,) and aftercare visits.
- Participate in daily huddle meetings with nursing and admissions staff
- Adhere strictly to daily tasks, defined processes and routines.
- Communicate with medical biller to provide all requested information for insurance verification, certification, UR and discharge.
- Submit and interpret insurance information and verification
- Explain the Gallus Detox Method and be able to answer questions.
- Act with empathy, compassion, kindness and effective listening skills to patient and family concerns.
- Willingness to take after hours and weekend calls and emails regarding patient admissions.
Qualifications
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows based software
- Experience with CRM software. KIPU, Salesforce, or similar.
- College degree and certificate or Master's level work in psychology or counseling, etc.
- Knowledge of and background in behavioral health, specifically substance abuse and detox, highly preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in admissions
- Competitive, collaborative, and team oriented. Ability to interface with clinical outreach and digital/social team members. Wants to be part of a winning team.
- Someone who takes their responsibilities very seriously, but does not take themselves too seriously
- Accountable, mission driven, curious and results oriented.
Compensation $57,000-$65,000/year
