Adsync is currently seeking experienced a Field Service Representative (FSR) - in our LaGuardia Airport that will work closely with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) personnel supporting day-to-day operations and maintenance of the FAA Tower Simulation Systems (TSS).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as local on-site Adsync representative
  • Train site Remote Pilot Operator (RPO’s), Instructors and Air Traffic Control personnel on how to best utilize TSS
  • Develop, modify and/or optimize training scenarios
  • Identify the relationship of training objectives to the development of training scenarios
  • Train personnel identified by the FAA to create and maintain scenarios
  • Troubleshoot and maintain TSS hardware components
  • Fault isolate/replace projectors, displays/monitors, and computer equipment/peripherals, e.g., projector lamps, hard drives, video cards, desktops/laptops, printers, etc. as necessary
  • Troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve software problems
  • Perform step-by-step procedures for acquiring and installing software upgrades and patches
  • Load operating systems and applications as required
  • Update existing software and site data as required
  • Install, test, and verify functionality/performance of software and hardware
  • Perform start-up and shut-down procedures
  • Perform system back-up procedures
  • Train FAA personnel on TSS maintenance and operation
  • Operate TSS for proficiency, recurrent. and qualification training
  • Acts as a Pseudo Pilot/Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) as required
  • Brief FAA and Adsync management on simulator performance and utilization
  • Develop and maintain site simulator utilization reports reflecting frequency and type of training done
  • Backup and manage scenario data
  • Minimum of at least 25% travel expected
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of four (4) years of FAA and/or US Military ATC experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience maintaining hardware and software for a system(s) similar to, or more complex than the TSS
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a clean background check and approval for a FAA Clearance.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of computer hardware and operating system software similar to, or more complex than the Tower Simulation System (TSS)
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and operating system software similar to, or more complex than the TSS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Excellent customer service orientation skills. Ability to facilitate resolution to complex technical issues and customer concerns.
  • Excellent analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Strong work ethics.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

  • Associates Degree or 4 years of equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs.
