Located in scenic Fernandina Beach, our firm services all of Nassau County, including the commercial and residential sectors, and has played a key role in some of the largest construction projects in this county thus far. Our firm is currently looking to add an AutoCAD Civil 3D Technician to our growing team:

An AutoCAD Civil 3D Technician will work in the office drafting a variety of surveys, including but not limited to lot surveys (residential and commercial), including boundary, topographic and tree surveys, as well as a variety of other client-specific type survey work to meet all of our clients’ needs. Candidates should be able to draft surveys using (and interpreting) the survey field notes and survey points given, as-well as preform any necessary parcel and deed research required for the project. A draftsman should be able to take direction from their team and be quick to learn and adapt to new procedures. They should also have a working knowledge and application of standard surveying techniques and procedures.

Abilities / Responsibilities / Knowledge:
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D & ArcGIS Land Desktop

Strong interpretation skills in order to process survey field data

A keen eye toward quality control and accuracy is a must

Ability to read, interpret and write property legal descriptions

Ability to perform deed research

Has acquired or is interested in working towards relevant certifications (SIT, CST, etc.)

Ability to Import and organize field data into Civil 3D, including Point Management

Ability to Prepare Exhibits and Sketches.

Ability to review title documents

Ability to Process field collection point files.

Ability to plot deeds for proposals

Ability to prepare boundary surveys, tree surveys, topographic surveys and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys

Knowledge of basic cartography and graphic design principles and methods.

Knowledge of basic site planning and architectural design principles.
