Job description

Mela seeks to provide an environment for employees that is inclusive and promotes teamwork. We have chosen to create a restaurant that is counter-service based, so that all employees can receive fair pay. Front and back of house staff alike will receive a flat hourly rate beginning at $10/hr, and tips will be shared between all positions. Hourly wages are based on experience and skill, and there will be room for advancement.

Bartender

• Welcomes guests and provides inviting, comfortable environment
• Guides guests through counter service experience; identifies what type of experience the guest is seeking and accommodates to fulfill expectations
• Delivers food to table promptly, with proper sides, garnishes & flatware
• Is available throughout dining room to take orders and bring refills, and to close out tabs tableside
• Possesses full knowledge of all menu items and is able to accurately describe ingredients and assist with food restrictions & allergies
• Maintains knowledge of flagship ciders and rotating drafts to include flavors, tasting notes & abv
• Ability to make all drinks on craft cocktail menu as well as classic cocktail recipes
• Provide service drinks to servers
• Service bar area

Experience: 1-2 years restaurant/bartending experience is preferred.
