BLU at Tides Folly Beach, is seeking to hire Server Assistants that are passionate and hardworking. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their F&B career!
POSITION SUMMARY:
Server assistants are an integral part of a restaurant's staff. The job of a server assistant involves removing the dirty glassware, silverware, and plates after use by guests. You will help in every aspect to what a server needs to be done.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take customers’ food and drink orders if the server is unavailable to.
- Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner.
- Suggest appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials.
- Work closely with servers and restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience.
- Confirm orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested.
- Assist with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Skills:
- Ability to communicate fluently in English with hotel/restaurant guests and employees.
- Ability to provide friendly, efficient and courteous service to guests.
- Ability to work under pressure, be organized, self-motivated and work well with others.
- Customer focus and drive to deliver optimal employee and customer satisfaction.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and perform well under stressful circumstances.

Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 40+ lbs.
- Must be able to support yourself for a full shift without assistance from others.
- The work environment includes high guest interaction; fast paced; high volume. Subject to extreme weather conditions including high heat, rain, wind, etc.
