Responsibilities:
- Maintaining quality sales records and preparation of sales and activity reports as required.
- Generation of new leads with targeted businesses through various prospecting activities, including cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and partner relationships.
- Performing research, identifying sales trends, preparing proposals with managers, and creating sales decks for presentations.
- Partner with a sales or marketing team to ensure marketing campaigns align with the department’s sales goals.
- Build, manage and nurture a sales pipeline of interested prospects
- Develops and maintains relationships with key customer personnel.
- Experience providing prompt and accurate information to customers and team members as requested
- Day-to-day responsibility will be responsible for connecting with prospects and generating opportunities with new and existing customers; set up customer calls and/or meetings
- Closes sales and follows through to assure appropriate delivery.
- Adherence to all company standards and business professionalism.
- Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field
- 1-3 years experience in related industry (Freight Forwarding / General Brokerage)
- Stellar written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to try innovative marketing strategies
- Spanish is a plus
- Knowledge of brokerage pricing and current pricing tools is a plus
- Self-motivated, competitive team-player with a huge desire to WIN
- Superior customer service and relationship-building skills
