Job Title: TWIN TURRET CNC Lathe Machinist/ Programmer

Schedule: 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday-Friday, Voluntary Saturdays

Primary Purpose:

Preform machine setups, edit and prove out new programs, create and modify programs on Mastercam

Qualification:

• High School diploma or GED, 10 years of experience on PUMA Doosans or similar machine

Special knowledge/skills:

• Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment
• Ability to operate Mastercam
• Ability to read and perform basic arithmetic

Major Responsibility and Duties:

• Start machines, adjust controls, and make first piece inspection to ensure that machinery is operating properly.
• Determine product specifications and materials, work methods, and machine setup requirements, according to blueprints, oral or written instructions, drawings, or work orders.
• Adjust machine tables or cutting devices and set controls on machines to produce specified cuts or operations.
• Monitor operation of machines and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Select tools according to work piece, machine functions, or product specifications.
• Examine finished work pieces for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut, or conformity to specifications and verify dimensions, visually and using hands, rules, calipers, templates, or gauges.
• Inspect and mark completed work pieces and stack them on pallets, in boxes, or on assigned racks so that they can be moved to the next workstation.
• Safely handle and transport material, parts, finished goods, and supplies throughout the shop.

Safety:

• Operate tools, equipment and vehicles according to prescribed safety procedure.
• Follow established safety procedures to perform jobs duties including lifting, carrying, etc.
• Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisors immediately.

Other

• Assist in other areas if needed during the absence of staff.

Fanuc Controls, Hand tools, Forklift, Pallet Jacks, Computer, Overhead Crane

Training Requirements:

• Dial bore gage training.
• Gage and pocket surf.
• Pitch and functional gages.
• How to read and operate Vernier calipers, OD micrometers, length and height gages.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
