Job Title: Punch-Laser Operator

Department: CNC Machining

Accountability: This Position Reports to the CNC Machining Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operate Trumpf 7000 Punch-Laser Combination Machines
• Prepare and load tools according to program set-up sheet
• Prepare and load sheet metal required for job
• Perform first piece inspection of parts
• Complete work assignments adhering to the Production Schedule
• Clean, sharpen, and maintain tooling used with Punch-Laser Combination Machines
• Perform regular maintenance of laser equipment to ensure proper alignment and clean cutting
• Troubleshoot day to day issues with machine operation
• Receive and organize materials in the sheet metal storage areas
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
• Assist in material movement between departments and processing of work orders and labor tickets

Requirements:

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, a technical certification, a plus
• 2 years of CNC Machining experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret quality documents, technical procedures, work orders, schematics, and engineering drawings
• Mechanically inclined with experience using basic hand tools
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
• Must have excellent attention to detail, ability to focus for extended periods of time
• Must regularly be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing
• Proficient computer skills
• Ability to operate forklifts and material handling equipment, a plus
• General knowledge of workplace safety a plus
