Vazquez Commercial Contracting (VCC) is a federal construction contractor with a HQ in Kansas City, MO, and a Cincinnati Division Office. VCC has a requirement for an experienced, full-time, Project Managerfor federal construction projects primarily located in the Ohio River Valley & Great Lakes Regionof the USACE. The majority of the work is defined by the USACE mission and includes levee, locks and dams, campgrounds, and other federal properties including military construction at WPAFB, Ft. Knox, Ft. Campbell, Rickenbacker, Scott AFB, and many other sites along the Ohio River. The PM may also work on other agency projects in the region including VCC’s new GSA Electric Vehicle Charging Station installation contract.

This Project Manager position works from the Cincinnati, Ohio office (Loveland) and reports to senior management in Kansas City & Cincinnati. The ideal candidate to fill this position possess exceptional communication ability, technical competence, and USACE construction experience. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency reviewing site conditions, plans, and specifications required to develop comprehensive, accurate, and reliable cost estimates for design/bid/build and design/build proposals. Past employment or consulting experience with other federal construction companies is ideal but not a necessity. Military Experience is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

· BS Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field

· 10+ yrs. experience (emphasis on civil and marine-based construction projects)

· Strong oral and written communication skills (clients, engineers/architects, and OPS)

· History of coordinating preliminary design and bidding packages organized by CSI

· Skillful technical writing abilities for development of technical proposal narratives

· Capability to understand project scopes and assign appropriate tasks to subcontractors

· Competence and accuracy assessing Plans & Spec, and Project Drawings

· Extensive knowledge of renovation projects in occupied buildings including but not limited to, military installations, hospitals, laboratories, and other government buildings

· Excellent computer skills with knowledge of P6 and the USACE RMS system

· History of managing project budgets and schedules for projects valued at $500,000+

· Must be able to pass a background check, hold a valid driver’s license, and access governmental facilities

· Willingness and ability to travel regionally for site visits

· Familiarity with standards associated with GSA, VA, USACE, DOD and other agencies

· Ability to work unsupervised and meet due dates and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

· USACE or other DoD Construction experience with PMP or Lean Six Certification

· CQC Systems Manager/SSHO or other USACE Quality/Safety Training Credentials

· Resides in Southwest Ohio or greater Cincinnati commuting area preferred but not a requirement (telework and/or remote work may be authorized to fill the position)
