Responsibilities:

The Cost Accountant will be reportable to the Cost Accountant Lead and responsible for the following tasks:

  • Assist with inventory in transit tracking and monitoring
  • Assisting in analysis of raw material and finish product inventory
  • If needed, coordinate with IT department for system issues, maintenance and development
  • Assist with month end closing process to ensure accurate relay of information

Raw material accountability

  • Tracking all the different delivery schedules for main raw materials and purchased for resale materials (PFR)
  • Validate the delivery documentation for raw materials and PFR
  • Record in SAP the receipts of raw materials outside plant locations
  • Record in SAP the receipts of materials purchased for resale (PFR)
  • Raw materials and PFR associated costs monitoring and processing
  • Intercompany raw material and PFR invoices processing

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting or, Undergraduate at Senior level with accounting classes
  • Quick learner and self-initiator with ability to partner with team members and across teams
  • 0-1 years’ experience in Accounting or Auditing
  • Proficiency in computer-based analysis using Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills and people skills
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Organization skills
  • Flexible, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus
  • SAP experience in modules MM, FI-CO is a plus
