We are hiring for several positions for the 2023 season. Outdoor loader/customer assistant positions are available. We are looking for someone who can work weekends as well as some weekdays during our busy season.

Job Title: Customer Loading and Product Readiness Assistant

Reports To: Nursery Stock Buyer

Position Type: Full or Part Time, Seasonal

Role and Responsibilities: A position for someone who loves being physical, enjoys being outdoors, likes being around plants, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Should be motivated, hardworking and willing to learn and take responsibility.

Skills:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds, bending, twisting and standing for long periods of time
• A positive and helpful attitude
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to adjust to changing needs and assist where you are needed most
• An understanding of what excellence means and the drive to get there
• Able to work in different environments and weather conditions
• An understanding of what neat, safe, and organized looks like
• Acts with integrity. Demonstrates responsible and honest behavior in all roles
• Attention to detail. Maintains high quality standards for work

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers to load large or heavy items (ie; plants, soil, furniture, pots)
• Gather and return carts to designated areas
• Label/assist with receiving in and moving plants from receiving area to display areas
• Assist in keeping the facility clean by emptying trash and picking up
• Keep customers your number one priority by answering basic questions, finding the right help where needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to multitask
• Interest in gardening, plants and “green” living
• Previous experience in a retail workspace is helpful
• Team focused. Actively looks for ways to help both customers and staff

Salary: $16.00 per hour

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
