Job Description CDA’s & EFDA’s

We are hiring for:

Chairside Dental Assistants (CDA’s); or Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA's) to assist Dentists and Hygienists as they examine and treat patients during the provision of preventive maintenance and restorative services. Employees additionally provide some direct technical dental treatment to patients. Work is performed chairside and under the direct supervision of a dentist or hygienist.

Requirements:

Dental Assistant Qualified in or To Perform Expanded Duties/Functions will Take x-rays Monitor nitrous oxide administration Coronal polishing, apply sealants Supervision following coursework or on-the-job training: Must have current CPR certification, and show CDA or EFDA Certification of completion of approved

coursework.

Dental Assistant & EFDA’s - Clinical Tasks:

• Showing patients to their exam rooms.
• Preparing patients for procedures and/or surgeries.
• Assisting with procedures such as fillings, crowns, and extractions.
• Making dental impressions.
• Sterilizing dental tools and equipment.
• Pre procedure set-up; and post-procedure clean-up.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
