Job Description

Will report to Shift Supervisor as necessary. Perform scheduled and emergency mold changes. In charge of proper set-up of all molds and related functions for injection molding machines weighing between 150-1500 tons. Set parameters of molding press to process verification sheet. Repair any air or fluid leaks related to molds. Responsible for the pulling and resetting of all mold halves, specifically for mold repair. Assist with loading and unloading all mold-carrying trucks. Installation and removal of all auxiliary equipment from molding floor. Establish parameters for material drying and conveying per process verification sheets. Maintain orderly appearance of mold storage area, including all end-of-arm tooling. Maintain orderly appearance of all mold-setting supplies. Remove mold-setting supplies from molding machines and immediate areas. Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and OSHA required safety procedures.

Availability

• Must be available to work scheduled shift Monday-Friday

• Must be available to work scheduled shift on weekends as needed

Performance

Die Setter should…

• Be comfortable working on and around heavy mechanical equipment

• Assist with start-up of required presses

• Quickly adhere to all molding policy changes

• Ensure paperwork is completed, submitted, and filed in a timely manner

Requirements

• Obtained High School Diploma or GED

• Able to operate overhead crane safely and effectively

• Prior experience preferred

• Must have a valid forklift license

• Complete hazardous waste training
