KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Diesel and Heavy-Duty Technician/Shop Foreman is key to ensuring customer satisfaction with our service team. As a Diesel and Heavy-Duty Technician/Shop Foreman, you must be able to manage, lead a small team efficiently and effectively, keep track of work performed, maintaining, and repairing a diverse fleet of equipment. Fox Motors is looking for a Diesel and Heavy-Duty Technician/Shop Foreman that has broad knowledge of various equipment types and the ability to hit the ground running. Key responsibilities include the following. Others may be assigned.

• Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
• Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Communicates with Service Manager and Service Advisor to complete the job in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with, guide, and coach mechanics on repairs.
• Schedule and dispatch all work to technicians.
• Provide technicians with resources needed to complete all jobs efficiently.
• Work to understand customer concerns and properly diagnose issues.
• Monitor tech performance and review results weekly with technicians.
• Collaborate with Service Manager to manage tech performance.
• Mentor and grow young diesel technicians.
• Assist with customer calls.
• Work on vehicles as needed.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS preferred but not required.
• Strong ability to collaborate with, guide, and coach mechanics on repairs.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.
