Your day

As a Regional Director, Clinical Research Operations you need to know how to:

• Oversee research program day-to-day operations and all research associates at assigned care sites to ensure that research site is in compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Manage human resource functions such as interviewing, selection, orientation, education/training, coaching, feedback, performance evaluation, time keeping and file management.
• Ensure coverage for all site research activities related to patient enrollment and visit coordination. Ensure that all research activities are coordinated with affected departments within the care site and that appropriate vendor agreements are in place as needed.
• Drive, as a member of the research leadership team, accountability standards to ensure that accrual targets and financial objectives are achieved.
• Function as a liaison between system services, research committees, and care sites to communicate and implement research initiatives, opportunities, and issues.
• Encourage and maintain research focus for care sites to grow and maintain the research program. This responsibility includes collaborating in the process of appropriate study selection for the research program and assessing new opportunities for growth such as new service lines needing support and assessment and recommendations for potential new sites. Manage the daily operations of department. Collaborate with the department management team in planning, program development, human resource management, budget planning, customer satisfaction, patient safety, communication and compliance with regulatory agencies.

Your experience

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Master’s degree in clinical or scientific related discipline.
• Research certification (either SoCRA or ACRP).
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in clinical research.
• Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience.
