ReLive Biotech is a venture-backed global biotechnology company headquartered in Nanjing, China, with a Discovery hub in Boston, MA. It was founded in 2021 by visionaries and experts in the fields of tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and cell therapy.

ReLive Biotech is seeking a full-time biomedical engineer to propel the discovery and development efforts of cell therapies to address unmet needs in the field of orthopaedic sports medicine and reconstructive surgery. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, passionate about innovation, and able to drive early-stage projects from the discovery phase to the development phase. Given the nature of the duties and responsibilities, this in a mostly on-site role with some flexibility for remote work.

Essential Duties Of The Role

· Design, plan and execute early-stage, proof-of-concept studies to evaluate the potential of mammalian cells and drugs/scaffolds/polymers to repair or regenerate hyaline cartilage tissue

· Use established in vitro cell culture models and assays to assess cell viability, function, and development

· Analyze and process data and write experimental reports and other documentation as required.

· Lead interactions with Vendors and Contractors for outsourcing of projects, as needed

· Assist in writing investigational new drug (IND) applications and provide cross-functional support to Regulatory and Clinical operations

· Complete other duties as needed to create and capture value for ReLive Biotechnologies

Competencies/Skills Required & Role Requirements

· Masters degree or Ph.D. focused on tissue engineering, regenerative medicine or cell therapy with 2-5 years related working experience (experience in a start-up or industry company a plus)

· Familiarity of cGMP and FDA regulations to bring a cell therapy from the bench into the clinic

· Excellent comprehensive skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work in a collaborative environment but independent execution and close-out of studies

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
