Job description
This position oversees financial planning and analytical processes for the SCAL and HI markets. This includes responsibility for all financial planning and forecasting activities; membership, revenue and expense analysis; leads financial engagement with the Southern California Strategy & Execution PMO, including benefit realization assessment; sets and executes capital equipment strategy and funding allocations; business case review, including support for business development projects and other strategic initiatives; and budgetary oversight of all regional and administrative functions. Additionally, this role partners with other areas of organization including national finance, and other markets to develop and align financial strategy and processes; and works with market leaders including the Regional CFO and President on financial strategy matters.




Essential Responsibilities:
  • Leads the financial strategy, rate-setting, budgeting, and forecasting processes and outcomes for Southern California and Hawai’i markets. This responsibility includes coordination with Southern California Leadership Team and National Leadership on multi-year strategic plan and forecast. Monitors progress of these forecasts and assures execution of strategies by regional leadership in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Leads the preparation of financial reporting and analysis for national leadership.
  • Responsible for end-to-end financial planning processes, implements adequate controls, and ensures stakeholder transparency into budgets and forecasts.
  • Oversees membership and revenue financial planning and performance.
  • Provides decision support analysis to the Regional President, CFO, and the Southern California and Hawai’i Leadership Team for financial management decisions related to strategy analysis, investments, budget risk management, and Medical Group finances.
  • Acts as a liaison and key business partner to Medical Group finance.
  • Drives efficient financial planning processes including the identification and implementation of process improvements.
  • Oversees regional administration and shared services budgets and performance.
  • Strategically involves and builds relationships with key business partners across KP including regional and area leadership and with leaders from other markets and national business partners.
  • Effectively collaborates, influences and serves as a financial expert for the Southern California Leadership Team on financial planning and performance initiatives with strategic importance.
  • Develops high performing finance leaders and teams responsible for regional budgeting, forecast and analysis.


This position has a target base salary of $225,000 to $281,250 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.


Basic Qualifications:

Experience
  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressive financial management and leadership experience, including healthcare finance.


Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance, Accounting or related field, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
