SOLON Corporation, a leading commercial solar design and construction company in Arizona is seeking qualified electricians and electrical apprentices to work on its projects throughout the Southwest United States. Key Tasks

• Assemble, install and test, electrical wiring and equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
• Pull and terminate conductors to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and compliance with code.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as megohmmeters, voltmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
• Install ground leads and connect power cabling.
• Work from ladders and scaffolds, to install or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit and moving and lifting heavy objects.

Skills/ Requirement

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience as an electrician in commercial construction.
• Ability to travel to other cities and states. Out of state travel will be required for the position for both short and long-term assignments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
• In-depth NEC knowledge.
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety requirements.
• Solar experience preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per hour
