Responsibilities and Duties:
- Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications.
- Determine material or replacement need and a logical method for repair; take appropriate action to meet the need and initiate the repair. Test equipment to be used in the repair and test of electronic assemblies (e.g., Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Frequency Generator).
- Support the development and upkeep of procedures and work instructions. Identify opportunities for improvement for designs and processes. Calibrate and maintain test stations and equipment.
- Understanding electronic circuits (schematic interpretation). Strong knowledge of basic electronic theory and SMT hand soldering experience.
- Hand-eye coordination - Must be able to handle small electronic components.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis (e.g., 5-why, Fishbone, etc.)
- Mechanical skills (e.g., Hand tools, Drills, electric screwdrivers)
- IPC Soldering and IPC ESD Certifications preferred (but not required). Knowledge of proper ESD handling practices. Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Computer literate (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Pay rate is $18.00 - $23.00 per hour depending on experience, plus overtime as needed!
