Choate USA is currently seeking an experienced Landscape and Irrigation Estimator for our Houston market.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

· Represent the company as a knowledgeable industry professional.

· Perform quantity take offs using takeoff software.

· Analyze plans, specifications and other bidding documents.

· Communicate qualifications/ clarifications during the bid process.

· Manage bid communication including change orders, revisions and V.E. requests.

· Consult with clients, vendors, management and sales team.

· Request and analyze subcontract and vendor quotes.

· Organize bidding documents for pre-construction meeting with operations team.

· Work with purchasing team to ensure site furnishings are ordered and delivered in a time period that coincides with scheduling expectations.

· Meet with clients to review and explain bids.

· Act as a liaison between project superintendents, project managers, sub-contractors and general contractors.

Desired skills/ Experience/ Characteristics:

· College Degree preferred, but not required

· 2+ years industry/ estimating experience in a commercial setting.

· Familiarity with Commercial bidding process.

· Excellent communication and organization skills.

· Detail oriented.

· Proficient in Microsoft suite as well as takeoff software (Planswift).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
