We are currently seeking candidates to fill a External Communications and Public Relations Manager role to support our Smyrna TN and other U.S. based facilities.

Responsibilities

The External Communications Manager’s job focuses on increasing brand awareness through the effective use of social media and managing an organization’s communication initiatives, specifically with media outlets. A External Communications Manager has several key duties:

  • Managing the organization’s public relations team and overseeing all their activities including utilizing social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand
  • Working with marketing professionals to develop social media marketing campaigns, developing and implementing publicity strategies for the company’s products and services, including crisis management strategy
  • Developing and implementing organizational publicity strategies for company events (organizing promotional events such as trade shows, press tours and conferences)
  • Interacting with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts
  • Analyzing the company’s digital and traditional marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements or drafting appropriate responses
  • Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities
  • Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPI’s
  • Representing the company at press conferences, interviews, etc.

The External Communications Manager will be responsible for managing and molding Envision AESC (US)’s public perception and presence on various social media platforms.

Create an A-Z Social media strategy – Plan, audience building, messaging, asset creation, and design, competitor research, content strategy, and goal setting.

Establish a trusted relationship with our counterparts in other branches of the company, provide weekly insights & reports of the business status/progress, and best practices to get and stay ahead of competitors. Must be able to work closely with Marketing to ensure messaging is consistent across multiple platforms.

Be the main point of contact for ongoing communication with the leadership team, have a weekly meeting, and communicate with the different stakeholders of the business.

The External Communications Manager must be proactive, take a hands-on approach, and be able to initiate conversations with leadership about ways for to improve and deliver above industry benchmark results.

  • Proficiency in the use of word processing and presentation software tools
  • Strong presentation and knowledge sharing skills
  • Good creative writing skills
  • An analytical mind and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Requirements

  • Familiarity with the automotive/battery technology/EV industry a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in journalism, marketing or communications
  • 3-5 years’ experience desired in a fast-paced communications environment
  • Strong background in writing, copy editing and media relations
  • Experience creating content and developing communications using online marketing and social media platforms

Travel up to 25% (Primarily domestic or possible international travel)
