Ellis Coffee Company is a 4th generation family-owned and operated coffee roaster located in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia, PA. We distribute our artisan roasted coffee and other related products to food service providers, healthcare facilities, convenience stores, hotels, and restaurants from Maine to Florida and as far west as Nebraska to Texas.

Our service department is currently seeking a qualified Service Technician to join our rapidly growing team. Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance and repair of beverage equipment at customer locations while offering courteous and dependable customer service.

This position would be in the Lehigh Valley Area. We try to keep out technicians within a 60-mile service area so they can develop a deeper knowledge of the customers and the equipment they service.

The technician will drive a company vehicle so a clean driving record is required and background checks will be conducted on an annual basis.

Responsibilities include:

• Travel to customer locations to fix, clean, or install beverage equipment.
• Refurbish machines for future use.
• Provide courteous and dependable service to customers at all times.
• Manage parts for service van and maintain sufficient inventory.
• Complete reports on time spent and parts used.
• Ensure van remains clean, in good working order and properly stocked.
• May attend classes and training sessions.

Requirements include:

• Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and/or related experience preferred.
• Experience with restaurant and coffee equipment is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Safe, clean, and courteous driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with the geography and surrounding areas.
• Ability to use a computer
• High School diploma

We offer a complete benefit package, including medical, vision, dental, 401(K) retirement plan with employer match, life insurance, cell phone allowance, uniform allowance, vacation, personal, and holiday time. Starting rate of pay is between $22 per hour based on experience. Position hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. Some overtime may be necessary as is periodic on call weekend work.

A drug screen, physical exam, and complete background check are required.
