About the Position
Inclusive Development International is seeking dynamic and experienced candidates for the role of Finance Officer.
Position Description
As part of Inclusive Development International's operations team, the Finance Officer plays an instrumental role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by administering our accounting operations to meet legal and donor requirements and taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of our financial transactions and procedures.
Principle Responsibilities
- Accurately record all expenses, deposits, donations, grants, credit card transactions, and other financial data in QuickBooks Online.
- Process invoices and pay bills.
- Review payroll before it is processed by Human Resources Coordinator and record payroll journal entries in QuickBooks Online.
- Allocate costs to the appropriate class and funder to keep expenses aligned with the annual budget and grant restrictions.
- Work with external CPA firm to complete monthly and annual closing of books.
- Assist in budget preparation.
- Assist in the preparation of grantor financial reports, and grantor audits, and in providing documentation for the organization's annual audit.
Key Selection Criteria
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and attributes:
- Proven work experience in bookkeeping or accounting for a non-profit organization.
- Solid knowledge of accounting procedures and systems.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding problem-solving and time management skills.
- BSc degree in accounting, finance or related field.
Schedule
Flexible working hours, approximately 10 hours per week.
Compensation
Inclusive Development International offers an hourly rate of $33.00 per hour for this position, along with the option to participate in our 401k plan.
