Apple Valley Foods, one of the largest pie producers in the US, is seeking a Forklift Operators to join our Warehouse team on 1st and 2nd shift! If you are an experienced forklift operator looking for an exciting new opportunity, we want to talk to you!The Forklift Operator is responsible to receive, pull, pack and load product and ingredients and other related material in a safe, effective and timely manner coordinating with other areas of the facility; and assist in any task associated with the warehouse function.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and shipping of finished goods with computer or scanner.
- Receiving and shipping of raw materials and packaging.
- Restock supplies for production by picking and staging ingredients, use work orders to stage products prior to shift start.
- Clean and organize freezer, cooler and warehouse.
- Use scanner and computer to track product and update inventory, always following First In First Out (FIFO) guidelines, and adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Consolidate raw materials and finished goods in cooler and freezer.
- Drive straight truck between warehousing facilities.
- Minimum one year warehouse experience operating machinery such as stand-up and/or sit-down fork trucks, hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Valid, unrestricted Class B driver's license highly desired.
- Proficient in the use of a computer and database programs, experience using ERP systems highly desired.
- Possess strong planning and organization skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize high-demand tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Understanding of allergens and the sanitation process.
