JOB SUMMARY:

Receive and route incoming calls and greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Assist with updating records. Provide a friendly, positive and inviting atmosphere for customers.

Work Hours: M-F, 8:00-5:00

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Greet customers/visitors and notify appropriate personnel.

· Answer and route calls to the appropriate personnel. Take messages/text messages or direct calls to voice mail when the party is not available.

· Data entry.

· Prepare and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.

· Other duties as needed or requested by supervisor.

· Maintain adequate supply of needed forms.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High school education
  • B.S. or B.A. preferred.
  • Experience with multi-line switchboard.
  • Ability to work well with other employees and customers
  • Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Have a pleasant phone voice while working switchboard
  • Must have excellent basic computer skills, with the ability to learn job-related computer programs.
  • Must be punctual.
  • Ability to be flexible.
  • Understanding of and respect for company policies.
  • Empathy and respect for customers.
  • Ability to multi-task.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION:

  • Must be able to sit for 8 hours.
  • Have good vision from a close distance (i.e. reading paperwork, computer screen).
  • Hearing and using both verbal and written communication is necessary.
  • Must be able to work without direction supervision.
