“We rise by lifting others.” Robert Ingersoll

Our story began on January 6, 1964 in Lafayette, California with a small group of young adults, their parents and the founding Director, Helen Young. Fifty-eight (58) years later, Futures continues to serve the same population now, in several counties in California. Like our founders, we can better appreciate the world and humanity through the eyes of our clients. They have intellectual and developmental disabilities, and they want to continue experiencing the world around them – much like everyone else. The participants’ overall health and wellness is our passion. Empowering and enriching their lives, is our mission.

Join a team that truly makes a profound difference in people’s lives. Dedicated staff members believe that coming to work is much more than a job. It is to fulfill our participants’ dreams and life goals. The program employs a Registered Nurse that trains and certifies staff in providing medical care and support during the day program day. In-home services are provided to individuals in their homes due to specific health needs that do not allow them to be served at a location.
