The Greeter for Volunteer Services acts as receptionist at the outpatient entrance desk and promotes a customer service focus at all times in greeting each and every customer. Evaluates the exact locations of the hospital that this customer will be visiting and provides the necessary transportation that will be needed to get the customer to the location in the most efficient and comfortable manner. Ensures that patients and visitors are oriented to the facility and receive any assistance necessary to ensure that they easily reach and return from their destination within the facility. Provides valet service upon request.
Responsibilities:
Customer Relations
Evaluate all persons entering the outpatient treatment area. Assess /triage their needs. Utilize transportation available. i.e.: electric golf cart (which carries a walkie-talkie for immediate contact).
- Stands, greets and assists visitors in a professional helpful manner and arrange for volunteers to escort visitors when needed.
Administrative
Able to use and understand the computer and the various computer office equipment and maintains programs for Volunteer Services.
- Maintains overall organization and information at the inpatient/outpatient information desks, ensuring current information is available to volunteers on a weekly and daily basis.
- Maintains established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, quality improvement programs, safety, environmental and infection control standard.
- Maintains equipment within the work area. Ensures adequate supplies are ordered within budgetary guidelines.
- Ensures the outpatient information desk is never un-staffed during identified peak times.
- Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
- Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations and interdepartmental objectives.
Compliance/Safety
Responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool; attends all safety-related training programs; performs work in a safe manner; monitors work environment for possible safety issues and ensures others are also performing work in a safe manner.
- Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
- Completes annual mandatory education, age-related and competency assessment modules in the specified time frame (minimum 20 hours annually for RNs).
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient or employee records and information and follows hospital and department policies and procedures.
- If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
- Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.
- Maintains required Certifications/Licensures/Registrations (document expiration dates).
Education
High school diploma or GED- Required
Certification & Licensures
Valid Arizona driver's license with no moving violations in the past 39 months- Required
Must be age of 25 or older- Required
Experience
Experience with driving a stick-shift transmission and automatic transmission vehicle- Required
