Senior DevOps & Information Security – Job Description:

Reporting into the SVP Technology & Data, the Senior DevOps & Information Security will be the first Infrastructure dedicated role at Geopath, which will be tasked to evolve and grow the role’s impact. They will bea hands-on, experienced DevOps manager and will be responsible for the maintenance, reliability, and efficiency of both the customer-facing product and backend infrastructure for a world-class B2B media measurement platform. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Own the AWS infrastructure of Geopath’s measurement platform: planning, maintaining, monitoring, and automated management
  • Closely work with application developers and QA team to define and enforce best practices for product development, test, release and change management
  • Establish an improved security posture to define and enforce internal security controls and compliances
  • Evaluate historically provided vendor capabilities/services
  • Build automation and redundancy into Geopath’s existing infrastructure
  • Manage/predict/control computing (AWS) & database processing (Snowflake) costs
  • Execute application deployments across all environments (production and sub-prod environments)
  • Establish and maintain CI/CD tools; build/deploy new production & staging releases
  • Drive automation for CI/CD processes across different tech stacks and cloud providers.
  • Develop and support automated, scalable solutions to deploy and manage Geopath’s global infrastructure
  • Maintain and improve the use of automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment
  • Work with Development and Operations to define CloudOps processes, introduce new insights and technologies so that Geopath stays on the cutting edge
  • Provide mentorship and expertise on system options, risk & impact management and cost vs. benefit analysis
  • Uphold and ensure security requirements for tooling, systems and environments are met while protecting the company’s assets and its customers
  • Lead troubleshooting of system and performance problems in Prod/QA/Dev environments
  • Identify improvements to reduce technical debt
  • Review current cloud infrastructure strategy and determine opportunities, then autonomously execute cloud infrastructure strategy over time
  • Manage, run & operate cloud infrastructure across all digital properties, conduct upgrades, patches, scaling, security audits etc.
  • Maintain compliance with GDPR, CCPA, COPPA standards and adopt global data/cyber security requirements

What You Need for this Position:

  • Experience with data companies or advertising technology companies
  • Knowledge of standard methodologies and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service (with minimal resources to support)
  • Strong usage of continuous integration and delivery processes and tools
  • Skills in implementing and executing processes to create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for code deployments
  • Proficient in automation using Python or shell scripts
  • Experience with a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet goals and pre-defined measurement criteria
  • Excellent written communication, problem solving, and process management skills
  • Fundamental understanding of load-balanced and highly available infrastructure systems
  • Author, maintain, debug infrastructure modules and the applications they support
  • Function independently and pro-actively engage others to get things done
  • Comfortable with Java based runtime environment, set-up and maintenance

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, preferred
  • Experience working in media measurement companies and/or ad agencies, preferred
  • 5+ years experience as a DevOps engineer/lead
  • 5+ years experience in operational management of SaaS production applications
  • 3+ years technical experience with AWS and Snowflake

Core expert-level technical experience:

  • AWS and related networking, and monitoring tools
  • Container: Docker, Kurbenetes
  • Database management: PostgreSQL, RDS, Snowflake,
  • CI/CD: Jenkins
  • Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch;
  • Logging systems: Apigee
  • Networking: VPC, Gateways, Load Balancers, DNS, etc.
  • Configuration Management
  • Scripting: Python
  • Experienced with Unix based operating systems
  • Experienced with IaC: Terraform/CloudFormation
  • Strong security knowledge on AWS and database
  • Big data: Snowflake advanced functions
  • MLOps

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
