We are IMMEDIATELY hiring a part time Diesel Mechanic in Statesville, NC!

This is a great opportunity for a driven Diesel Mechanic with a "can do"attitude. This person will be responsible of repairs on trucks, trailers and other vehicles.
Hours: 2nd Shift

Responsibilities:
- Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions
- Repair, reline, replace & adjust brakes
- Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors
- Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined & other potentially troublesome areas
- Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals & experience
- Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications & tune-ups
- Repair manual & automatic transmissions
- Replace & adjust headlights
- Complies with all safety, DOT & OSHA guidelines
- Adhere to company rules & regulations
- Ensure cleanliness of shop & surrounding areas.
- **CDL REQUIRED**
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years recent medium/heavy diesel maintenance experience preferred
- Ensure cleanliness of shop & surrounding areas.
- Must have own hand tools
- Basic computer skills
- ***CDL license Preferred***
- Good driving record & proven work history
- Must be able to work in extreme heat & cold temperatures
- ***DIAGNOSTIC EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS***
