Responsibilities:

• Help choosing various smart home devices to test for compatibility with our smart controller
• Thoroughly test our smart controller's functionality and integration with these devices
• Evaluate the user experience and ease of use of our smart controller and its companion app
• Identify any compatibility issues, bugs, or areas for improvement in the smart controller and app
• Document test results, feedback, and suggestions in a clear and organized manner
• Provide regular updates on testing progress and findings to the product development team
• Collaborate with the product development team to improve and refine the smart controller and app
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, devices, and developments in the smart home industry

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology) or equivalent experience in the smart home industry
• Hands-on experience with a wide range of smart home devices (e.g., lighting, security, climate control, entertainment systems)
• Strong understanding of the smart home ecosystem and compatibility requirements between devices and platforms
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to document and communicate test findings effectively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Passionate about smart home technology and improving user experiences
