The IT Support Technician will support GREEN Charter School's IT Manager in providing direction, coordination, implementation, and support of technology across all GREEN school campus locations. This is a hands-on fast paced position that requires a candidate that is passionate about problem-solving, great at multitasking and building relationships, and creating incredible systems to make GREEN the best technologically equipped Charter School there is.


Travel will be required between all GREEN campuses, including Greenville, Spartanburg, Columbia, and Charleston. Occasional overnight travel may be required on an as needed basis.


Essential Functions:

  • Champions all End User support requests and requirements across 6 Facilities within South Carolina.
  • Manages IT Ticketing System and ensures that all support requests are handled in a timely manner.
  • Troubleshoots issues onsite that have to do with classroom technological devices, teacher devices and student issues Chromebooks and iPads.
  • Responsible for the provisioning and setup of all end user devices which includes, Chromebooks, iPads, Laptops, Macbooks, iMacs, Docking Stations, Monitors, and desk phones.
  • Familiarity with MacOs and iOs devices is a major plus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining MDM solutions to ensure the proper Administration of all Apple Products, and will be responsible for training teachers best usage practices.
  • Assists Systems Administrator with provisioning of Student and Staff Accounts.
  • Works alongside IT Manager to learn GREEN Data Networks and progressively take on more IT Networking responsibilities.
  • Monitors systems and networks to ensure 100% uptime is achieved. The IT Support Technician will be required to respond to after hours IT Emergencies.
  • Researches new cutting edge technologies to implement and integrate at all schools in the GREEN Charter School network.
  • Responsible for the proper disposal of old End of Life Workstations and devices.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience/ Qualifications

  • A+ Certification Preferred
  • One Year of IT experience required. Previous K12 experience is a major plus.
  • Prior Active Directory and Workstation support experience is required.
  • Understands the importance of timely and professional responses to all support requests.
