The Budd Group is currently searching for a Janitorial Sr Operations Manager whose responsibility will be to drive financial improvement at targeted accounts through hands on analysis, reengineering of existing workloading, and coaching of existing staff. Provides concise, accurate, and timely feedback to senior leadership to help determine plan of action for struggling accounts. Drives improvements to achieve desired results through direct, hands-on coaching of account staff and management. May act as emergency response leadership for counts in jeopardy and implementation manager for targeted new accounts. In addition, serves as regional support for safety and CIMS accountability within a defined region.

Location:
Days/Hours: Must be flexible to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift depending on the need. Would normally be M-F but could include weekends on occasion.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

70% Turnaround efforts at targeted, struggling account

• Targets losing accounts and accounts with significant gaps to budget to identify financial improvement opportunities.
• Quickly determines whether financial gaps are related to pricing or Budd Group performance.
• Evaluates scope of work compared to work performed to identify scope creep and opportunities for additional billing.
• Audits processes and management methods. Trains and coaches Account Management to improve performance.
• Analyzes workloading and re-workloads jobs to validate contract pricing.
• Provides direct leadership to clients in jeopardy, analyzing root cause, and directing recovery efforts.

20% Production improvement and reengineering at existing accounts

• Evaluates current production routines to identify opportunities for efficiencies and implements improvements to achieve same.
• Evaluates existing equipment to identify improvement opportunities.
• Tests new equipment and cleaning methodologies.
• Audits processes and management methods. Trains and coaches Account Management to improve performance.
• Evaluates scope of work compared to work performed to identify scope creep and opportunities for additional billing.

10% Safety and CIMS Compliance Management

• Manages Master Accountability Program with select branch and site operations.
• Conducts safety audits and follow ups on inspection items.
• Responds to major incidents.
• Dotted line to Safety Manager.
• Conducts CIMS compliance inspections throughout region.
• Leads effort in region for CIMS re-certification preparation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Five plus years management and process improvement experience preferably in the facilities industry
• Would need to be flexible in schedule to work whatever shift is needed
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. Significant industry experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Six Sigma Certification preferred but not required
• CIMS certification referred but not required
• Extensive travel 75-80%
