Job description

The Land Administrator assists in creating, preparing, finalizing, auditing, updating and maintaining all land documentation, land project maps, all project approved agreements and contracts, and other documents relating to land ownership and obligations.

AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND ACTIVITIES:

LAND ADMINISTRATION

  • Maintains internal land records
  • Accurately updates various internal documents including (but not limited to): line lists, various spreadsheets, weekly project reports
  • Prepares easements and related documents in an accurate and timely manner
  • Creates and maintains project tracking database programs for individual projects
  • Reviews and enters data into applicable database
  • Reviews and organize company files for completeness
  • Prepares other agreements and documents for the acquisition of surface rights

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Ensures clients are responded to in a professional manner and within established turnaround times.
  • Generate check requests for payment to landowners in an accurate and timely manner, and reports check information to appropriate internal personnel
  • Creates various types of correspondence to landowners on behalf of the company and/or client

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

  • Provides support to Project Management department
  • Completes landowner searches and additional research as needed
  • Assists Title Department as needed
  • Actively searches for continuous improvement opportunities to improve process flow and expediency without the loss of accuracy and brings recommendations to manager

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma required. College degree preferred
  • Formal administrative education preferred
  • Current Notary Public certification or ability to become a Notary required

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years experience as a Document Specialist or Oil and Gas Administration

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated experience in reading/understanding of real estate descriptors
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is a full-time remote position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Some travel (up to 10%) may be required
