Bayberry & Co - A multidisciplinary design/build award winning landscape development firm working from Boston to the NH Lakes Region and the Maine Coast is seeking a special individual to join the team.

Our well-respected office offers the astute client a design and development experience that is rooted in artistic expression and built upon sound horticultural principles. The creation of meaningful outdoor spaces begins with the thorough understanding and analysis of a property’s potential coupled with a thoughtful developed program. As artisans of the landscape, we seek to provide creative, detailed, and beautiful elements to the exterior environment that will patina with age. We scrutinize every stone, branch, and view corridor. Generating order to an otherwise disconnected part of one’s living environment. Utilizing architectural cues new and old to inspire the true potential of the landscape, our design process is comprehensive in its intentions.

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT / DESIGNER:

This professional position will assist the Principal Designer in a true design/build atmosphere with the development of secured design commissions. The selected individual will facilitate awarded commissions, in addition to coordinating with other team members. This designer will be responsible for drafting plans and generating supporting graphic materials / models as well as technical drawings where needed. Fieldwork will be required during project site meetings, significant plantings layout, and site analysis work. The position will also participate in business development and networking opportunities as a representative of the firm at social events. Lastly, this individual will use creative skills, imagination & artistic talent to the fullest for each commission focused on clients’ goals and desires. He/she should enjoy being part of an expanding youthful team; and open to putting in the extra effort when needed to see a project through.

  • Licensed Landscape Architect preferred with 3-5 years of previous experience.
  • Proven experience in AutoCAD, Sketch-up, Shaderlight / Rendering programs, Full Adobe Suite, and other graphic design medias along with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Interest in business development coupled with the ability to collaborate with architects, contractors, engineers, and residential clients through graphic, verbal, and written means.
  • Interest and involvement in the development of built works from all levels including material selection, client interaction, plant tagging, etc...
  • Planting design knowledge and experience a must.
  • Possess a high level of enthusiasm and self-motivation with the ability to manage time effectively and strive to meet company goals in a collaborative design atmosphere.
  • Candidates will need to be able to respond to critical requests, work within limited turnaround times, and quick deadlines on occasion.
  • Comfortable being immersed in the uniqueness of the design/build process will round out the qualities required for this position.
