Responsibilities:

• Provide various types of massages, such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and hot stone, tailored to the individual needs and preferences of each client.
• Conduct thorough client assessments to identify any areas of tension, pain, or discomfort, and recommend appropriate massage techniques.
• Create a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere in the massage room, ensuring clients feel comfortable and relaxed.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific goals and expectations for the massage session.
• Apply appropriate pressure and manipulate soft tissues to relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation.
• Utilize additional techniques such as stretching, range of motion exercises, or aromatherapy to enhance the massage experience, as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including health history, session notes, and any specific instructions or recommendations.
• Educate clients on self-care techniques and exercises they can do between sessions to support their overall wellness.
• Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, including maintaining client confidentiality and providing a safe and clean environment.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, techniques, and research by attending workshops, conferences, and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements:

• Certification or diploma from an accredited massage therapy program.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a massage therapist.
• Proven experience in providing high-quality massage therapy services.
• Strong knowledge of various massage techniques and their applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen attentively and respond to client needs.
• Professional and caring demeanor, with a genuine desire to promote the well-being of clients.
• Ability to adapt techniques to accommodate clients with specific conditions, injuries, or preferences.
• Exceptional time management skills, ensuring punctuality for appointments and efficient scheduling.
• Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and common musculoskeletal conditions.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
