Nursing and Reporting Duties
· Keep license, trainings, and car insurance current.
· Document your work in the Individual’s Therap accounts.
· Comply with DMH and Medicaid regulations.
· Work with DMH to implement the HRST initiative at BSL.
· Build relationships with physicians, their office staff, and pharmacists.
· Assist with delivering medications to ISL’s as needed.
· Monthly, compare POs to MARs to meds on hand ensuring they match and that nothing has expired.
· Monthly, verify that controlled drugs on-site match drug count sheets.
· Assist Weekly, in the review and reporting to management the status of each individual’s medical record; including but not limited to POs, MARs, labs, annual appointments, other medical consults, follow-up orders, bowel charts, vitals, and menses records as assigned.
· Identify nursing supports needed for each individual.
· Be cognizant of changes in an individual’s health status and/or needs, document, and report to PM.
· Assist with completing HIPs as assigned by the Regional Office.
· Assist with completing Health Inventories as assigned by the Regional Office.
· Assist with individuals moving in or out of BSL, as it relates to medical records/needs.
o Assist in setting up pharmacy services and/or transfers with Neighborhood Pharmacy.
· Report all unusual medical incidents or health concerns to the Professional Manager. All emergencies and critical incidents must also be reported immediately to the CEO and Executive Director.
· Assist Training Coordinator for medical EMTs.
· Destroy outdated and discontinued meds with a L1MA employee or return to Heartland Pharmacy. Ensure destroyed meds are adequately documented.
Training Duties
· Weekly, assist with nursing breakouts with managers to ensure we are in compliance.
· Teach and/or test out L1MA students in accordance with DMH policies.
· Periodically, or as needed, oversee L1MAs to ensure technique and skill are at desired performance levels.
· Teach and/or test out CPR/First Aid students as needed.
· Ensure that specialized instruction/delegation regarding identified tasks are provided and documented.
· Identify needs for staff supervision, delegation, and/or specialized instruction regarding an individual’s medical needs and report to PM. Ensure plan of action deemed appropriate by the team is carried out.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
· Maintain communication with agency management.
· Become a L1MA trainer
· As assigned by RN

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
