The Global Programs Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, and facilitation of strategic visa programs specifically for U.S. and USI professionals traveling around the world on global mobility assignments and cross border engagements, including processes, policies, and protocols. In this role, the Global Programs Manager will also drive projects and support the design and implementation of transformative solutions, as well as leverage data to actively identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of immigration programmatic delivery in close partnership with Deloitte's Office of General Counsel, Global Mobility, and our vendors. This role oversees the teams managing key program functions and strategies for specific geographies (U.S. and India), and serves as a centralized escalation and communication point for key stakeholders, including Global Mobility, OGC, outside immigration counsel, and Talent Immigration Leadership, to continuously ensure connection, provide strategic advisory, and drive compliance.
- Oversee the facilitation of the global visa process for Global Mobility assignees and Cross-Border Engagement deployed professionals around the world to ensure operational excellence aligned to key strategic business objectives
- Responsible for leading and managing processes, programs, and protocols related to all Global Immigration Programs for U.S. and USI professionals traveling to global locations
- Oversee the team that manages the global visas processes for U.S. and USI professionals, including managing, mentoring, and developing several direct reports and their corresponding teams, ensuring a high quality of work and removing obstacles to drive to results
- Serve as primary liaison between the Global Mobility and Talent Immigration on matters pertaining to the operational strategy of Global immigration programs
- Accountable for leading workstreams related to global visa processes and ensure regulatory requirements, business needs, and operational goals are achieved, and driving transparency and consistency where possible across business-specific programs
- Ensure Global immigration solutions are delivered with a "One Deloitte" perspective, partnering closely with Global Mobility to represent uniformly the immigration strategies and positions of the U.S. Firm, including driving relationships with key Member Firm contacts
- Generate insights and recommendations to enable strategic business decisions that align with business and talent priorities and goals for the global programs through dashboards and other KPIs, including opportunities for cost savings, process efficiency, and enhanced employee experiences
- Monitor case progress of Global visa matters of Global Mobility and CBE assignees, help resolve issues with vendors and MFs, and set expectations with Global Mobility and assignee on travel dates, etc.
- Accountable for ensuring that documentation (SOPs, knowledge articles, process maps, etc.) for the Global visa programs are developed and maintained, including maintenance of DeloitteNet homepage
The team
The Immigration Programs & Strategy Team is part of the Talent Immigration organization of Deloitte Services LP. This team is responsible for supporting the needs of our foreign national practitioners across all businesses. This includes the development and delivery of strategic immigration programs, as well as strategic projects to enhance the immigration experience of our foreign national practitioners.
QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's Degree and global immigration knowledge gained through at least 5 years of related experience in a law firm or in-house setting
- Strong experience leading teams and a virtual workforce across the U.S. and India
- Experience managing complex global immigration programs, including strategic projects
- Ability to leverage and analyze data to glean insights and create recommendations on workforce planning and programmatic KPIs
- Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and influencing skills needed to counsel and work effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders around the world
- Advanced competency in core professional skills, especially attention to detail, responsiveness, follow-through, flexibility, initiative, and tact
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks appropriately
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with large teams
- Ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive situations while managing confidential information appropriately and professionally
- Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Strong conflict resolution skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence others
- Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,425 - $177,470
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
