Responsibilities:
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecast and budget
  • Maintain internal controls for accurate reporting of monthly results
  • Facilitate the month end closing timely and accurately
  • Determine the costs and efficiency of company purchasing, billing, labor and operational expense activities
  • Analyze costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases vs. forecast and budget
  • Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings
  • Collect and compile purchasing data for analysis
  • Prepare and complete internal cost and billing audits
  • Review and document inventory and material purchases activity
  • Prepare documents and interpret financial information regarding cost improvements for managers, executives, and as needed
  • Maintain company accounting procedures and processes
  • Present cost estimates and budgets for sales, materials, labor and operating expenses
  • Review and reconcile inventory counts for accuracy
  • Assist in audits and general ledger preparation
  • Forecasts and plans future purchasing costs according to fiscal needs
  • Provide analysis on improving operational performance ad hoc and per standards
  • Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
DOE Compensation: $80k-$114k
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
  • Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Computer Literate – Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and Word
  • Experience with QUICKBOOKS a plus
  • Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
