Job description
Join the Mathnasium Learning Center where we teach children in a way that makes sense to them.
Do you have great math skills and enjoy working with children? Are you looking for a great part-time teaching experience that will both challenge you and prepare you for your future as a Math leader? Come use your skills in a team based teaching environment and be part of the movement of teaching children in a way that makes sense to them.
We will teach you the Mathnasium methodology and prescribed teaching practices, and, in turn, you’ll provide the fun, encouragement, and motivation by engaging our students to help them shed their fears and build a passion for mathematics. As a certified instructor, you will team teach school aged children 5-19 in our Schaumburg learning center on a part-time basis between our operating hours of 3pm to 7:30pm M-Thur., and 10am-2pm on Sunday.
In order to join our team you’ll need to be a math expert, be passionate about numbers and have strong skills from counting through Algebra 1, 2, Trig, and higher math topics. You must be open to learning and applying a new pedagogy to teach the Mathnasium Way.
