NMC is currently recruiting for a Medical Assistant in Northwestern Orthopaedics. This position is a full-time (80 hours bi-weekly) position, hours are Mon-Fri 8a-4:30p.

JOB SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant assists the Physician or Provider with daily operations of the clinic. Provides direct patient care rooming patients updating electronic health record, performing necessary ordered procedures and visit preparation. Assists in throughput of the clinic. Assists with order management and patient follow up.

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. MA certification preferred or LNA

Experience: Prior experience preferred.

Other: Excellent computer, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Able to problem solve and suggest improvements to work processes. Must perform work with a high level of accuracy. Previous experience with electronic medical records preferred. Must be willing to cross train to the Patient Access Representative role and perform clerical duties as needed, as well as cross train and assist in other departments within Physician Services.
