About the Position:

This professional position monitors services, programs, and Behavioral Health providers with PGHD/Local Behavioral Health Authority contracts and service agreements to assure the provision of effective and efficient quality behavioral health services. Contract monitoring consists of scheduled and unscheduled visits, interviews with providers and clients, analysis of service utilization data, promotion of continuity of care, and collaboration with the Administrative Services Organization (ASO)

Examples of Work

  • The primary role of monitoring grant-funded services is through contracts established between community-based behavioral health providers and Prince George's County government.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with agencies, community organizations, and private providers.
  • Responsible for evaluation of community-based services conducted in compliance with State regulations, quality assurance, etc.
  • Responsible for providing accurate information to internal and external customers and the general public.
  • Assists in establishing contracts with designated providers.
  • Assists in the development and establishment of monitoring and evaluation tools, guidelines, criteria, and schedules.
  • Assists in the provision of technical assistance to improve service delivery and quality standards.
  • Reviews all contract budgets with services provided by contract vendors.
  • Reviews and approve all invoices for payment to contract vendors.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Social Services, Sociology, Psychology, or related field; plus,
  • One (1) year of experience within community developer role preferably within the Department of Health
An equivalent combination of training, and experience will be considered for education substitution.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior experience in working with budgets.
  • Prior experience in working with community vendors/agencies.
  • The ability to manage detailed information in contracts and budgets.
  • Proficient in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Experience working within the Behavioral Health industry.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Upon selection, the candidate must:


  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Meet all training and performance standards and demonstrate proficiency as required by the agency.
  • Wear and use agency protective apparel and equipment in the performance of their assigned duties.
  • Participate as an "Essential" employee in the department's snow and ice control program and other emergency or special activities as assigned.
