Job description
Under direction of the Division Manager, will perform general office support in which the employee is responsible for
accurate typing and processing of a variety of documents applicable to case records and processing/procedures.
Responsible for coordinating and scheduling appointments for assessments clinic and eligibility staffing’s and
maintaining schedules. Responsible for administrative assistant duties for the Division Manager. Heavy telephone
contact with applicants, families, outside agency personnel and the court/legal system. Responsibility for screening
referrals for intake and assessment evaluation, so knowledge of developmental disabilities and eligibility a must.
Responsible for processing cases transferred to/from the agency. Prepares data and statistical reports, maintains logs
and is responsible for records control. The work is subject to audit, therefore, a high degree of accuracy and
adherence to procedures is required. Additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school. Ability to type accurately at 55 WPM. At least two
years of responsible office experience required, with clinical background. Ability to work collaboratively with
division staff in a team approach. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all levels of
agency staff. Ability to seek creative approaches in conflict resolution. Problem solving skills a must. Good
organizational skills required. Must possess good written and oral skills in English. Experienced on Word,
Publisher, Excel, etc. Knowledge of modern office equipment required. Bilingual English/Spanish required,
including reading and writing.
