Full-Time OR Circulator Staff Nurse-Panther Creek, NC - Monday through Friday Position - No Nights, Holidays or Weekends.Registered Nurse currently licensed in NC who, under the direction of the Clinical Manager, is responsible for the care and safety of the patient while in the surgical suite and assists with supervision of the non-professional personnel in this area. By assessment of the individual patient and procedure, anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining an aseptic and safe environment. In addition, assists team with regional blocks, room turnovers, picking cases, and maintaining supply par levels in ORs.
Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of North Carolina and must be familiar with the basic nursing performance standards as outlined in the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act. BLS Certification required. Knowledge of Patient rights and informed consent laws. Knowledge of specialized equipment used in the surgery center as well as anesthetic agents and their usage and effect on the surgical patient. Must provide evidence of continuing education in the field of surgical suite nursing. Requires basic computer knowledge. New Graduates welcome to apply.
