WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented part time Accounting Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

Accounting Clerk

  • Hourly: $30/hr (D.O.E.) plus discretionary year-end bonus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
  • Prepare and process payroll, including maintaining employee records, calculating and recording payroll transactions, and preparing payroll tax filings
  • Assist with month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports as needed
  • Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding account status and transactions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and documentation
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed

SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of accounting software, such as QuickBooks, preferred
