The UW Children's Center at Portage Bay is looking for kind, patient, and caring people to work in our toddler room. This part time time position is open immediately and is Monday-Friday, 2pm-6pm (the hours of the shift could be as long as 12-6pm or as short as 4-6pm but absolutely needs to be M-F).

We are looking for someone who is friendly, genuinely enjoys toddlers, and is hard working. Besides working with children, this position includes talking with the parents every day, working cooperatively with a team, preparing food, feeding children, changing diapers, and cleaning the classroom. Please be able to lift children up and down, be able to monitor children visually and auditorially, be able to pass a background check, and obtain proof of a negative TB test within 12 months of start date, proof of measles vaccination/immunity, infant CPR and first aid, etc. (you can also complete the items upon hiring). We also require that staff be fully vaccinated, or willing to be so, against COVID-19 (with documented medical exemptions allowed) and are currently requiring all adults in the building wear a mask.

Priority will be given to people with some experience with children and/or education in early learning.
