Job description
The Payroll Administrator is an extension of the Human Resources department and is tasked with being responsible for payroll functions, including management of external service provider relationships. This is a role for someone who is excited by the ever-changing and challenging world of Human Resources.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Maintaining necessary payroll records in a timely and accurate hourly payroll- includes all interface and payroll processing activities.
Act as day-to-day liaison with employees for payroll-related processing. - Respond to employee inquiries and take appropriate action utilizing Ceridian/Oracle to ensure timely review and resolution of issues.
- Maintain hourly employee payroll procedures and business process documents.
Ensure quality controls in the payroll process and update documentation- includes reconciliation of results and audit checks. - You will own all HR systems, ensuring they are up to date with correct hourly information, and a source of truth from a financial control / payroll administration perspective.
- Participate in onboarding of new hires to cover: payroll, attendance, vacation, etc.…
- Ability to work with corporate and communication necessary entries. For example, scanning garnishments to corporate for processing.
- Manage payment for referral and mentorship programs
- Process monthly scorecards for hourly employees
- All other areas as assigned.

What You'll Need to Have:
- A positive attitude and understanding that oftentimes, the little things can be unnoticed, but it does not mean they are not integral to the organization's success.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred or, three years or more of related customer service or employee administration experience.
- Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, DocuSign, HR databases and HRIS systems.
- Prior experience with Ceridian Dayforce, Kronos and Oracle Payroll.
- A love for people and a desire to see them succeed.
- Proven experience of a solution-oriented mindset, in the HR space.
- Feedback champion, both giving and receiving.
- An interest in the HR/People Operations space, and a want to have your hands in a lot of different jars.
- The desire to teach and train others on equipment and processes.
- Ability to learn quickly and go with the flow.
