Full-Time Position - Raleigh and Panther Creek, NC - Registered Nurse currently licensed in NC who, under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator, is responsible for the care and safety of the patient while in the pre-operative and recovery areas. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care with staff in surgery suite, patient assessment and prep including IV and medication administration, regional block assistance to anesthesia, and post anesthesia care. Demonstrates competency in identifying physiological symptoms and taking appropriate action within the NC Board of Nursing scope of practice. Willingness to cross-train to the surgical suite as needed highly preferred.
Must be graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of North Carolina and must be familiar with the basic nursing performance standards as outlined in the North Carolina Nursing Practice Act. Certification in BLS, ACLS and PALS required. Completion of a basic arrhythmia interpretation course is preferred. Knowledge of Patient rights and informed consent laws. Knowledge of specialized equipment used in the surgery center as well as anesthetic agents and their usage and effect on the surgical patient. Must provide evidence of continuing education in the field of surgical suite nursing. Requires basic computer knowledge. New Grads welcome to apply.
