Description:
Develop and maintain carrier relationships with current Logistics providers such as USPS, Fedex, UPS and DHL Express to ensure that the company has access to the best shipping rates available- Reviewing rates and terms of service offered by current/new shipping companies to ensure that the company’s rates are competitive
- Conducting WBR’s< MBR’s and QBR’s to manage carrier performance
- Work along legal team to negotiate and renew contracts with shipping companies to establish long term relationships that are beneficial to both parties
- Work with internal customer teams to understand future growth opportunities.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all carrier relations inquiries- Respond to carrier requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Negotiate service contracts with carriers
- Monitor carrier performance and compliance with company policies
- Work with other departments to resolve issues with shipments
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments
- Keep abreast of changes in transportation regulations
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with carriers
- Handle customer complaints and escalate as necessary
- Prepare reports on carrier performance
- Assist in the development of new business opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned
