Delta Faucet Company is looking for a strong foundational Continuous Improvement leader to coach and develop our production teams at our largest bathing production facility. With the growth we have experienced and continue to realize we need an individual who can invigorate our Masco Operating System in all that we do, at every level of the organization and partner w/our other Delta Faucet sites for sharing of best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Production Manager will make critical decisions in an ever-changing manufacturing environment while having a bias for action. This role’s focus is on the long-term business strategy in order to improve the performance of production operations. It is essential to stay current with significant changes to business strategy and production levels. The Production Manager reports to the Plant Manager and has responsibility for Group Leaders, Team Leaders and hourly employees. A close working relationship with hourly employees will develop trust and drive improvements via the daily management structure within our Masco Operating System.

  • Apply concepts of Masco Operating System and Lean Manufacturing principles to production operations
  • Champion 5S, correct unsafe behaviors and conditions, and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety and health rules.
  • Drive improvements using problem-solving methodologies and facilitate continuous improvement mindset
  • Manage departmental Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics and audit to sustain standards
  • Coach individuals and teams to develop people skills and improve performance
  • Develop and manage the annual budget for production operations
  • Manage labor productivity, material variance, scrap, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
  • Provide prioritization and responds to escalation processes
  • Perform time and attendance activities
  • This position requires visual inspection of products, communication both verbal and written, the ability to use technology and analyze data

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Daily Management, Operations and Material Flow
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and tools such as PDCA, SMED, and Kaizen
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a leader in a production environment.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience ERP systems such as SAP

Hiring Range: $81,500.00 - $128,040.00

Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
